The Office of Student Services and Affairs

The Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA) exist for the students. Its reason for being is to provide opportunities for growth, enhance the quality of life of student n school, complement the academic pursuit by providing various services and activities that shall contribute to the total development of the person, prepared to be an effective, competent and productive member of society.

The Jose C. Feliciano College Foundation has a vast array of programs for student development on and off campus. These are cultural, professional, spiritual/moral, athletic, co-curricular and other enrichment activities. These are offered to students who desire to expand their horizons and at the same time make their life on campus more enriching, interesting and rewarding. Such activities are under the umbrella of the Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA).

On a broad sense, the office supervises student organizations, publication, discipline, spiritual formation, leadership training, advising, guidance and counseling, co-curricular activities, extra-curricular activities, enrichment programs, values education and other student services and activities beyond the classroom.

The office is directly in charge of student organizations, with the College Supreme Student Council (CSSC) as the supreme organization. Each institute has its own set of officers. In addition, there are currently 10 recognized student organizations for this school year. This is to ensure that student leadership and activities are properly managed and implemented with direct participation of students as part of their holistic development.

Terms and Conditions

To qualify the student must:
1. be in good health;
2. satisfy all the requisites of the chosen course/program;
3. submit of certification from home school Registrar;
4. be of good moral character certified by School Principal and/or Guidance Counselor
2. Academic Achievement Scholarship

Students with a general weighted average of at least 90% in academic performance including PE & NSTP for any particular semester of study and who shall have satisfied all the terms and conditions indicated herein shall be given an academic achievement scholarship based on the following: 97 – above – 100% scholarship (President’s scholar)

95 – 96 – 75% scholarship (Dean’s Lister)
93 – 94 – 50% scholarship
90 – 92 – 25% scholarship

Terms and Conditions

1. only for regular students carrying an academic semestral load of at least 21units;
2. the applicant must have no grade lower than 85% in any subject enrolled for the semester;
3. dropping, failing or incurring incomplete grade(s) in any subject disqualifies the student for the scholarship;
4. scholarship application to be filed prior to enrolment for next semester.

Student Assistantship

The Student Assistantship Program aims to achieve JCFC’s mission of making education available to all as highly expressed in its desire to promote social responsibility among the administrators, faculty, non-teaching staff and students. It is designed to provide opportunity to poor but deserving and intellectually capable students to pursue a college education by assigning them as student assistants in the various departments of the college.
JCFC shall grant 100% basic tuition fee (excluding miscellaneous fees) scholarship to student assistants who will render minimum of (4) hours of service daily from Monday to Friday. The applicant must meet the prescribed terms and conditions:

The Performing Arts Scholarship Program

JCFC recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and the giftedness of each person. Students who have special talents in dance and music are qualified to apply for the JCFC Dance Troupe and the JCFC Choir to further hone their skills. Qualified applicants shall enjoy 25% to 75% tuition fee discount. Members of the Performing Arts will also be the school’s ambassadors of goodwill when they perform and compete outside JCFC.

Terms and Conditions
To qualify, the student must:
be at least 12-16 years old high school performers and 16-25 years old for college Performing Arts members.
pass the entrance requisites given by the college.
pass the screening tests given by the Performing Arts Coordinator, Choir Moderator and Dance Troupe Choreographer.
be willing to undergo dance or music training.
be physically, emotionally and psychologically fit to perform.
be of good moral character and has never been subjected to any disciplinary action.
